Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision is the process of learning under another more experienced Psychologist to develop your skills in the practice of Psychology. Whether you are completing your Masters and preparing for your Practicum, or are applying to register as a Provisional Psychologist with CAP, supervision is designed to support and encourage growth, learn different and more adapt ways of practice, and to challenge our thoughts, biases, and preconceptions.

Tiffany Mitchell is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is a qualified supervisor for Practice in Alberta and herself has been practicing for over 8 years. Tiffany has worked throughout the Private Practice world in a larger organization before venturing into owning and running her own practice. Tiffany works with a variety of clientele including, Teens, Veterans, WCB, Trauma, Chronic pain, Anxiety, Depression and PMADs. Tiffany has a keen interest and passion working with rural groups and understanding the unique challenges that can be faced by farmers, and those living in smaller communities. Tiffany uses a variety of modalities through her practice including, ACT, Psychodynamic, CBT, Narrative and holds a strong Person-Centered focus.

As a Supervisor Tiffany has and continues to engage in various trainings and consultations to help her grow and redefine what a supervisor should be. Some aspects Tiffany brings into supervision involve a supportive and straightforward approach, Narrative focus, mixing administrative, educational and supportive functions within supervision. Tiffany loves to use examples to encourage understanding of terms and strategies. She is supportive and encouraging when time comes to write exams, open to working on study strategies, planning, and managing emotions when stress comes up. Tiffany is very passionate about preventing and understanding burnout, increasing self care, and understanding competency vs. confidence.
